| At a time when there is a great deal of talk of the degradation of the coastal environment and of biodiversity being threatened, we felt it would be of interest to sample the macrofauna of five sites at five metres depth in well sorted fine sand at a thirty-year interval (1966-1996), using the same techniques. Four seasonal samplings provided comparative data at each site on the species richness (S), density (N) and biomass (B). The S values are comparable and even on the increase at two stations. Nevertheless, we observed a general tendency towards decline in the relative abundance of the crustacean group. | Aiming at analizing manager-nurses’ perceptions and wits as to processes of structural and managerial changes in a hospital organization this work was written. It is a case study- qualitative approach- carried out in a extra-sized charity hospital in Belo Horizonte. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 10 manager-nurses, submitted to analisis of content. According to the results obtained it was verified that the managers realize, as facilitators, the managerial and structural changes occurred in the organization, namely the decentralization of decision-making, the increase in the managerial groups’ autonomy, the improvement in the communication and information system, as well as the re-definition of the nurses’professional role. | One species, fished in 1999 in the Bay of Biscay, determinated during 2001 according to two photographs, Aristostomias tittmanni, is recorded for the first time in the European Atlantic. Six other species, five fished with a pelagic trawl, Bathylagichthys greyae, Melanostomias bartonbeani, Macroparalepis affinis, Lobianchia gemellarii and Melanonus zugmayeri, one fished with a bottom trawl Ophidion barbatum, were recorded for the first time in tbe Bay of Biscay. The pelagic ichtyological fauna about -500 m, -1000m and -1500 m depth has changed between 1966 to 1968 and 2001 with a decrease of temperate cold affinities species, mostly Benthosema glaciale, and an increase of temperate warm affinities species, mostly Ceratoscopelus maderensis. | The contemporary rural space needs to be considered in all its diversity. The non-agricultural activities, particularly those that involve leisure and tourism, have become increasingly important and may contribute to the local economy dynamics. The aim in this work was to identify the effects of tourism on income and job generation in the rural space. The basis of the qualitative research was a case study in São Martinho, a city in Santa Catarina state. Semi-structured interviews were done with the ten people responsible for the tourism enterprises in the district’s rural area. | Milk production belongs to conventional branches of agricultural production in the Czech Republic. Its results affect economics results of the whole animal production by significant way because milk sector participates by more than one third on the value of the animal production and almost by 17% on the rough agricultural production.
